"Handsome Bastard" by Kate Hill (Ancient Blood Series)

****
Handsome Bastard Kate Hill "Part of the Ancient Blood series." Cyprian Augustus, a blood-drinker of irresistible charm and deadly cunning, has eluded hunters from the purist group We Who Serve Humanity for centuries. Now he's pitted against their most dangerous warrior. Beautiful and heartless, Leotine has destroyed every blood-drinker she has been sent to kill. Cyprian and Leotine begin a perilous game of seduction and lies. In their attempt to outsmart each other, they might just lose themselves to the all-consuming passion burning between them.

Was totally not what I was imagining. But I really did enjoy it, hot and spicey, yes! If and when I get time I would be interested in reading more from the Ancient Blood series. Loved the detail, characters, setting, and storyline. Easy to read, fun, great descriptive scenes...cough cough...lol. Not thrilled about the cover...Could have been better on that. Good recommending book!

"Her Master's Touch" by Patricia Watters

***
She's the mystery debutante of the season, who arrived on the London scene as if from out of nowhere. But Lord Damon Ravencroft knows her dark secret. Two years before, when she was roaming with Gypsies and living by her wits in India, he hired her as a housemaid and she stole from him a rare and valuable opal once belonging to the Empress Josephine. Damon intends to be compensated for its loss, which set him back years in his quest to prove his innocence in a crime he's accused of committing. The sizable dowry that comes with Lady Elizabeth Sheffield's hand in marriage is a start. It's also his price to keep her secret from all of London. But there's more to the marriage of convenience Damon proposes than Elizabeth anticipated, but by the time she learns what it is, she's trapped in a marriage to a man who both stirs her passions and fuels her resentment for the man she was forced to wed.

Ahhh...I read it. Wasn't throughly impressed. Story was good, but drawn out and pretty slow. Great, original idea on love story, but to me it seemed rushed and forced, and she was really mean, but so was he. I dont know, wasnt a "melt your heart and make goo goo face" romance...

"Your Guardian Angel" by Skyla Madi (Guardian Angel Series Book One)

*****
For Ruby Moore life is far more complicated than that of your average teen, for she is in no way average. Ruby is a vampire and her life as a vampire is far from traditional.

It has been one year since her normal life was brutally taken from her. Still adjusting to the shock of the change from mortal to immortal, her world is rocked again and she is taken under the wings of a guardian angel back to Sage Sanctum- a school beyond reach from the vampires that are determined to destroy her.

There, she is freed from her vampiric chains and her normal needs and urges return. However a new urge arises… Lust. A forbidden lust toward her savior, her guardian angel.

Attempting to control these desires is difficult, very difficult and when things couldn't possibly get any worse, her situation becomes life or death as someone, somewhere in the school is aiding those who want her dead.

Not sure how or why I enjoyed this book...There is so much out there with vampires and angels and zombies, but for some reason I seem to be pulled in that direction, though I do read alot of everything. I liked this book. I would enjoy reading more about what happens to Ruby and her Guardian. My reviews are just a comment or two, and whether I enjoyed it or not. I loved this book. A great connection between eli and ruby. Though I had quite a bit of anger towards several characters. I hope this book explodes outward to a great many people. I am looking forward to seeing more from this author!!! **hint hint** Definately a must read to anyone out there who enjoys a good book!!!!

"How to Slay a Dragon" by Bill Allen (The Journals of Myrth, #1)

***
Ruuan is a very large dragon. Twelve-year-old Greg Hart can't slay a dragon. He'd be lucky to win a fight against one of the smaller girls at school.
Now the magicians of Myrth have mistaken him for a legendary warrior, so they've yanked Greg into their world of sorcery and danger. Nothing will stop the people of Myrth from believing Greg will rescue King Peter's daughter from Ruuan the dragon. After all, Greg has been named in a prophecy, and no prophecy has ever been wrong before.
Until now.
BILL ALLEN may be described as an unusual man who has accomplished an unusual many deeds. In fact, it has been said that if you total up all the things he claims to have done, he cannot possibly be less than seven hundred years old.
No one knows if this is true. All we know for certain is that for many of those years he's been living in Florida with his wife, Nancy, writingsoftware by day and, well, mostly sleeping by night. Every now and again he writes stories, too. Visit him at www.BillAllenBooks.com

Sadly I had an extremely hard time getting through this book. I found it a bit slow and hard to get through. I thought the idea with the story was cute, but I just didnt enjoy it. It takes alot for me not to enjoy a book. Im sorry for the negative feedback. Hope I am the only one who thought so. I was disappointed and hoped that this book would interest me and keep me interested more.
